Construction Update as of February 2024
This is an update regarding the Construction Activities of the Gingoog City Diversion Road that is expected not only to give passing through travelers more convenience but also to lighten up traffic in the town center, hence making the roads much safer and reducing traffic accidents.
Traversing Highway 955 and turning west we have now an additional stretch concreted but after perhaps less than 1Km it comes to an end where a bridge reportedly still has to be bade out to another contractor.
From this bridge it will still be a little distance, so the completion of this segment might not be done in the very near future.

Shifting to the eastern section however, the road through Brgy. 26 and Dobdob is now complete, the bridge is now standing and connects already to the Santiago-Balason Road, meaning this part of the Diversion Road is already fully useable and in fact open to traffic.
Excluding some future road widening projects of certain sections one could say that the Gingoog City Diversion Road is now something like half completed.
Significant Business Activities along this new road are not yet visible but it may very well be a place where potential investors might want to have a closer look at.
